Stratford Artist Bear Event
The competition was in four sections: the Four Seasons. We entered all four sections, and our offerings are below.
Spring
Harespring |
The subject Spring enticed us to thoughts of Jack-in-the-box toys. Tilly made the connection somehow (amazing how creative people make these eliptical connections that normal people never think of!) to watches' hairsprings. Consequently this entry is called Harespring.

Summer
Midsummer Night's Dream
|
Inspired by Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, this piece portrays Bottom asleep in the wood, having been entranced by Puck, hence his asses ears. The little bear is Cohho (Russian for Sleepy). Of course he took off his asses ears to pose for the photo below!

Autumn
Conker |
Autumn is the time for conkers. What more can we say about this shy little bear called Conker emerging from his shell?
|
Winter
|
This is Iggie and Lou. What else could we call them! Two little bears out to play in the snow. Iggie is silk and feels gorgeous; little Lou is alpaca.
